The interview with God

Thanks to life, I have many friends from all over the world. Sometimes they send to me stories, jokes which are as Food For Thought, make me think and think...
Some made me happy, some made me sad, some really fun, others really touching... anyhow, they provide me full of feeling. I really enjoy to have those kind of feeling, i feel more alive...

Below is another story from one of my friends sent to me today.

THE INTERVIEW WITH GOD

I dreamed I had an interview with God.
"So you would like to interview me?" God asked.
"If you have the time" I said.
God smiled. "My time is eternity." ,"What questions do you have in mind for
me?"

"What surprises you most about humankind?"
God answered.
"That they get bored with childhood, they rush to grow up, and then long to
be children again."
"That they lose their health to make money. and then lose their money to
restore their health."
"That by thinking anxiously about the future, they forget the present, such
that they live in neither the present nor the future."
"That they live as if they will never die, and die as though they had never
lived."

God's hand took mine and we were silent for a while.

And then I asked. "As a parent, what are some of life's lessons you want
your children to learn?"
"To learn they cannot make anyone love them. All they can do is let
themselves be loved."

"To learn to forgive by practicing forgiveness."

My friend just sent me this story. It touches my heart then I wish to share with you.

His name was Fleming, and he was a poor Scottish farmer. One day, while trying to make a living for his family, he heard a cry for help coming from a nearby bog. He dropped his tools and ran to the bog. There, mired to his waist in black muck, was a terrified boy, screaming and struggling to free himself. Farmer Fleming saved the lad from what could have been a slow and terrifying death.

The next day, a fancy carriage pulled up to the Scotsman's sparse surroundings. An elegantly dressed nobleman stepped out and introduced himself as the father of the boy Farmer Fleming had saved. 'I want to repay you,' said the nobleman. 'You saved my son's life.' 'No, I can't accept payment for what I did,' the Scottish farmer replied waving off the offer.

At that moment, the farmer's own son came to the door of the family hovel. 'Is that your son?' the nobleman asked. 'Yes,' the farmer replied proudly. 'I'll make you a deal. Let me provide him with the level of education my own son will enjoy. If the lad is anything like his father, he'll no doubt grow to be a man we both will be proud of.' And that he did.

Farmer Fleming's son attended the very best schools and in time, graduated from St. Mary's Hospital Medical School in London, and went on to become known throughout the world as the noted Sir Alexander Fleming, the discoverer of Penicillin.

Years afterwards, the same nobleman's son who was saved from the bog was stricken with pneumonia. What saved his life this time? Penicillin. The name of the nobleman? Lord Randolph Churchill .. his son's name? Sir Winston Churchill.

Back to the year 2003, he looked so young, elegent, sweet and gentle... I love his gentle look, so sweet. Once looking at his photos, my heart fulls of peace, stillness in the moment. That is one of reasons I love him. Thank YJ so much for feelings he bring to me.

Life is harsh and sweet, YJ is sweet part this life brings to me. Always miss him even how busy and stress I am...

Kang Yohwan wrote the lyric reflected BYJ’s appreciation and love to family members. Furthermore he is also the singer of 'The day you come to me' in the Hotelier OST in which BYJ acted, so this gift song seems more special and meaningful to everyone.

Very dear YJ,

Too busy to talk or chat to you or families for months. Many things happened have pulled me go far to the place I do not want to be...

YJ, I always look after you, every projects you are in, any place you come, I read a lot writing of you from our friends, your families and rarely chit chat, just read then feel you are till close to me. At least in my mind, you are there, gorgeous and talent as ever.

Thanks for all feelings you bring to me, very emotional, very touching... I love the feelings although sometime it was really painful and uneasy. But that is life, you, an element from life, come to me with very special feelings. Thanks for all.

YJ was in a Music show. He well knows that he is never free. He is never alone!
He always acts, I guess!

As sometime he share to us, he does his best to ensure to show us his best performance, sound and fresh to please us. We are happy to see him, but I feel sorry for him.

Saturday again...
Time flies fast... Sat then Sat... Not very happy with many things not completed, not reach what I really want to. But life! I try to stay happily any moment and yet till have sometimes can not control feelings.
The big thing of the life is future, the mystery of everyones. Future... we work, fight, love for but we never know what will happen tomorrow. Overthere at the end of the road, we can not see how we are and how long we have. Today I am so sad and I comfort myself with the hope tomorrow is better.

Dalat - Phan Thiet trip

I had a business trip to Dalat and PhanThiet 3 months ago. Really a nice places, I love the 2 towns and have visited there many times, esp Dalat. I stayed in Novotel Dalat and Phan Thiet. The scenery at Novotel Phanthiet is marvelous.

Novotel Resort Phan Thiet. Beautiful!














Phan Thiet is less opportunity to visit since I am not prefered sea as high land. I love highland with the cold weather and the grass, trees overthere are too beautiful. Phan thiet to me only is sand hills. I love sandhill with many endless yellow hills.

I was there at a full moon night, laid down on an upper sand hill, looked the moonlight with the sound of sea waves. How nice it was! I can not make it again even I have many opportunities later. The sweet memory is never come twice!

But this time I really have a good time there with my family. I enjoyed the hammok near the sea, the wind, sound of sea waves, blue sky, the nights there are great too. Novotel facilities is the best in Phan Thiet. I love the hotel.

Dalat with many places serves this kind of foods. Lovely! Walked in light rain with umbrella, (you see my one ? ) ate home-made yogurt at a small shop along the street, it was very nice!

I love to walk around the Dalat town to enjoy the weather, buy somethings special to eat like bread, yogurt, sweeets, soyabean or visit Ngoc Lan Restaurant to taste French cuisines.

Dalat now is not quiet any more, people more crowded, less friendly and less safe.
I have a lot sweet memories there from highschool time, long time ago and time is past on me thru many period of my life: high school, college, business trips, holidays, honeymoon... The times I have been there is uncountable. Any corners, streets, trees, weather there holds my memories with someones in the past, anything overthere holds my heart ...

It is Novotel Dalat, the Hotel is nice but their rooms are a bit small. Excellent services.

This area is for breakfast! It is delicous with French style.

What is going wrong?

Another strange day to me!

I wanted, I made and now I am till not happy with what I have now!

Alone, running away from the current situation, want to be free from all headache matters and yet I am not happy! Everything is till there, when I am separated from such things, it seems worse with a clear picture. That is much clearer.

Then, what can I do next?

I lost the young guy I love, but I thought I did not love him that much. I think I can 't bear the separation for ever. But I am wrong, I missed him badly. I want to see his face, his laugh, whenever I pass a place I have been there with him, I miss him too much. Am I wrong to let him go out of my loving arms?

I fight lonely in this life, no one for me to lean on, I have to go my way, cry for and encourage myself , I have to face with my sadness, loneliness and every difficulties. Am I very demanding to persons besides me? I do not know, I feel this life is too heavy for me!

Can I leave things there and run away?
I have just tried and found that I run nowhere, just like ostrich hiding his head in sand.
Just isolate myself in more pain and tired!

I know the feeling too bad now and keep hoping that tomorrow will be better.

Hope I can pass this time quickly.

Hello, Family. This is Bae Yong Joon.

Today’s weather isn’t so good, but there was a refreshing breeze for us all. On the other hand, I am thinking that there will be a change in the weather with the rain showers and wind that have come. The rate that time is flying by makes me feel like I’m in a rush to get everything done. Because there is so much I have planned in my head while I have been taking breaks. That is why I am taking the time to first write to you all and send this letter to the Family.

First of all, I am sorry to have made you all worry. The surgery went well without any problems. After getting good results from staying in the hospital for a couple of days, I am already recovering quickly enough to be in front of the computer to write this letter to you all. I would like to give thanks to all of you for your support, and promise to not make you all worry like this again in the future. You must all stay healthy and well, too.

Out of all the things that I hope to do in the future, there is one idea that I would like to discuss with all of you.

A while ago, I mentioned that I wanted to write a book to introduce Korea. Do you all remember that? Although I love photographs, I have also had this desire to present the beauty(s) of Korea for a long time.

Therefore, from the love and support from the Asian family, I have seen the interest many families have shown about Korea. And everyone has made visits to the country, too. At some point I started to regret that you have to come and visit the shooting site, which due to little information were limited to see only that part of Korea.
And even from those it was not enough for you to see all of Korea during your trip, making you have to come back again later. I wanted to catch the attention of you all and tourists, by revealing the charm of the country that is Korea. And this is what I want to say.

“Even to those of us who have lived in Korea, the culture, history and beauty of the country have embraced and surprised us. Please use your camera to capture the beauty of every little place. This is the Korea that I was born and grew up in. It is the Korea that I have been trying to reveal through my drama and movie shootings.” Is what I am trying to say.

And that made me think how it would be if I were the first to pick up my camera and travel around the country, introducing a book filled with pictures that at least communicate some of the beauty that Korea has to offer.

But this isn’t where my thoughts and worries stop. While thinking about the route(s) of my travels would lead me, I only know of the few, famous places that I have been before. There must be places that are just as beautiful that I simply have not heard of yet… And I haven’t been able to look for help in any other useful places.
But then, the Family is what came to my thoughts! I realized that we could make this book together, not with my own efforts.

What do you think? Are there any places you can tell me about?

Please let me know of all the places that you all have traveled throughout Korea. Writing, pictures, any information you can give me is fine. Even a small table in a shabby, country restaurant will be accepted too. Mountains you do not know the names of that you have seen in the background while parking your car in the sunset are also good. Exciting stories at a famous getaway is great, too. Those who have lived their entire lives in Korea, an encounter you’ve had that made you realize your appreciation for the country is good, too.
You have anything that you want to know about Korea? That is great, too. Tell me where in Korea you’re curious about, where you want to go and visit, what you want to try and eat… whatever your heart desires to ask.

I will try my best to create a good book using all the things that you all have to contribute to me.
I hope that everyone who reads this book and is interested in Korea including our families abroad would like to stay for a longer time in Korea.

My pen and pad and camera are ready. I will start my travels as soon as I receive all of your stories. For now, email your letters to webmaster@byj.co.kr. Soon, I will create a place where I can store, and listen to, all the stories you send me.

I feel much lighter now that I have expressed the thoughts that I have had for the past few weeks to you all. Now, I will just wait excitedly for all your stories. I will definitely be studying hard.

How to stay young

A friend sent me ways to keep you young longer...
I find they really nice and worth following. Enjoy!

HOW TO STAY YOUNG

1. Throw out nonessential numbers. This includes age, weight and height. Let the doctors worry about them. That is why you pay 'them.'

2. Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down.

3. Keep learning. Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever, even ham radio. Never let the brain idle. 'An idle mind is the devil's workshop.' And the devil's name is Alzheimer's.

4. Enjoy the simple things.

5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath.

6. The tears happen. Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person, who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. Be ALIVE while you are alive.

7. Surround yourself with what you love , whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever. Your home is your refuge.

8. Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.

9. Don't take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, even to the next county; to a foreign country but NOT to where the guilt is.

10. Tell the people you love that you love them , at every opportunity.
